The Presbyterian Church just erected in the beautiful and pleasant little villa of Alto is the largest and finest building in that section of the country. On Sunday last, we had the pleasure of listening to the first sermon in this new church, preached by the good and able Pastor, Rev. D.A. Campbell. The house has not yet been dedicated but will be on the third Sabbath in May, by which time it is hoped that it will be finished complete, painted, and paid for.
The day for its dedication is set thus far in the future in order to give the builders ample time for completing what will then be a magnificent edifice, and also with a view to inviting several ministers from a distance to be present on that occasion. Teaching will commence on Friday night before the 3rd Sabbath, and continue until Sunday when the dedication sermon will be delivered. The roads will be in fine condition for traveling by that time and we hope to be present and meet many others from Ravville there also. The building is spacious and will serve a large congregation. Let it be very crowded.
